Mutagex is a Brazilian software studio. We build web platforms, applications and AI-driven automation systems — for established businesses and for startups building from the ground up. We are based in Boituva, São Paulo, and work fully remotely with clients across Brazil.
We are not a laboratory or a biotech company, and the name has nothing to do with mutagenesis or genetic research. Mutagex comes from the word mutagenic — that which triggers mutation — because that's precisely how a well-built product should behave. Software doesn't arrive finished; it learns from its users, adapts to what's working, and improves with every version.

Immersion

What does the name Mutagex actually mean?
It comes from mutagenic — that which causes or provokes mutation. It's the central concept of the brand: software shouldn't be static. A well-built product mutates, learns from its users, adapts to what's working, and improves with every version. That cycle is what we design for.
Is Mutagex a biotech or genetics company?
No. Mutagex is a software studio — we build web platforms, applications and automation systems. The name has a laboratory feel, but there is no connection to mutagenesis, genetic research, or companies with similar names. The entity is MUTAGEX LTDA, CNPJ 68.386.839/0001-43, based in Boituva / SP. What comes out of this studio is code.
Do you build websites, or do you build products?
We build digital products: web platforms, applications and bespoke internal systems. An institutional website can be part of a broader product or a digital presence project, but it's not something we sell as a standalone off-the-shelf service. We don't do template sites; we build software.
Can you automate our processes without replacing the tools we already use?
Yes — that's the default approach. Our automation work is designed to plug into your existing stack: your CRM, WhatsApp Business, billing platforms, internal databases. You get the efficiency gains and the eliminated manual work without forcing your team to migrate to or learn entirely new platforms.
Do you work only in the Boituva / Sorocaba region?
We're headquartered in Boituva, São Paulo, and we serve clients across the entire country — fully remotely. Our process is built around async communication and structured remote delivery. Geography has never been a constraint for a project we've taken on.
